More light, enjoyable books for stress relief
Here are a few more books that I read, from my list of "Authors who write like Jan Karon" (the author of my favorite series--scroll down this page for titles):
Simple gifts, by Joanne Greenberg
Island of Heavenly Daze, by Lori Copeland
The Persian Pickle Club, by Sandra Dallas
I highly recommend these three for stress relief and for light, yet rich entertainment.
I also really liked The Free Fall of Webster Cummings, by Tom Bodett, but it's not like the other three; it's deeper and a bit harder to follow, but still engaging and very enjoyable.
These four authors are all amazing writers. This is not the poorly-written fluff you find in much mass-market fiction. It's satisfying as well as fun to read. I laughed out loud a number of times during each book, and that's not only a bonus, it's good for your health!
Oh, and I did read All Things Wise and Wonderful and The Lord God Made Them All, mentioned a few posts ago, and they were, well, wonderful!
